Synopsis

Today only a third of science professionals are women. The masculinization of science, the social stereotypes and an educational system that tends to propagate these ideas lead many women to abandon their careers.

From the perspective of female research scientists, this documentary takes viewers on an inside look of their experiences that represent the hope of a new generation that thinks creatively (THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX).

The protagonists, African women of different ages and realities who investigate diseases that nobody addresses and diseases suffered by people from the most impoverished contexts, fight to give visibility to women and inspire new generations to follow in their footsteps.

This is a recognition of women researchers and those who make healthcare happen in Africa.
